Question of the Week - Deja View

Wow. For a while there on Friday, all I heard was the chirping of the crickets. I felt like I was just hanging out there with everyone silently staring. Thank you to those who did comment on Friday's post. That makes me feel a little less uncomfortable putting my thoughts on the matter out there. I always feel better if people comment.

Anywho... on to other things. This is my 100th post! The big 1 0 0. I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping up with the blog. I love the new people I've met, and I love that I've gotten in touch with old friends and acquantinces through the blog. Thank you once again ImpostorMom for getting me hooked into reading and then writing a blog.

It's a new month, and I'm happy to say I finished my February book of the To Be Read Challenge on the night of the 29th, right before bedtime. Thank goodness there was an extra day in February this year, eh? I will do a review of Desiring Italy and an intro to my March book, Saving Fish Before Drowning, later this week.

Now, on to the Question of the Week and my very bad pun in the title of today's post. The following has been on my list of questions to ask, and recently I saw someone else ask the same basic question. So I figured this was a good week for it.

What movie(s) could you see over and over again?

I can give my answer immediately: Clue. I love this movie and I really, truly don't get sick of it. This has been proven when I watched the movie four times in about a week a year ago. Londo kept joking with people about how I'd just watched it and would watch it again because I will watch it anytime. And people kept saying that they'd either never seen it or hadn't seen it in years. They expressed interest in watching it, and I popped it in the DVD player. It's just such a fun and funny movie.

I also could (and have) watch the original three Star Wars movies again and again. There are others I could watch many times, but I would get sick of them. I just don't get sick of Clue and the original Star Wars movies. Hmmm, maybe the first Matrix movie, too. I'm not sure I'd get sick of that one, but I haven't tried.

How about you? What movie or movies would you watch to the point of annoying everyone around you?

Sorry for my lack of commenting prowess the last few days, I've been laying low trying to get some stuff done. That means grounding myself from reading blogs, you know.

Congrats on 100!

Movies? What are those? Sheesh, I haven't watched a movie in eons. I'll sit and watch Matrix with you though, that's probably one of my absolute favorites. It's right there with Ten Things I Hate About You and Aladdin. What? Why yes, I am a kid.

I can watch Cocktail over and over. I've seen it soooooo many times. I think my husband is ashamed to have it in his DVD collection, but he's watched it with me once or twice :-) I can also watch Office Space again and again.

You know I would comment if I was all caught up, which of course I am not. Sorry. :D

As for movies, Say Anything. I've seen it a million times and loved it every single time. I can watch star wars over and over again as well although I don't like watching it with my husband because he recites the dialog along with the movie. :|

I recently watched Stardust on pay per view and found it to be quite good. I could probably watch that one a few more times.

breakfast club (I might be able to quote long sections)
labrynth (my husband used to watch this movie with his sister then get out all the stuffed animals out and reenact the movie, when he told me this I feel in love)

There are three movies that I will watch over and over and over and over - The Mummy (with Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weis), the Mummy Returns, and the Fifth Element. Fortunately for me, these are the only movies that TNT shows. :-D I will not, however, be watching the third Mummy movie, since they have a new actress playing Evie.

There are 2 actually.
I have and always will love The Untouchables. I've seen it so many times I know it by heart, but I still adore it.
Plus, back then Andy Garcia was soooo cute. Now he's starting to remind me of my late Grandfather. Bad, bad, bad...
And then there's Plan 9 From Outer Space. The movie is sooo delightfully aweful, but you can find new awefulness in it every time and it's like a where's waldo of bad filmmaking.

Oh, I need to add Labyrinth too. PP reminded me.
The Hound's nickname is Sir Diddymous. And it's quite fitting even though she's a she. I love how the muppets sneak non-g-rated things in like that sometimes.

I'll watch Best in Show, French Kiss and Breakfast at Tiffany's over and over. I also enjoy watching just about any Pixar movie numerous times(except Toy Story 1 and 2 -- can't really explain why, they just enthuse me as much).

The LOTR movies don't get old for me either. There was a period there in my first trimester where I watched them continuously. Even thought about naming our first child Eowyn for about a week (this was prior to finding out HE was a BOY). Must have been the hormones. Can't say I'd pop them in right now, but if they come on television, a lot of times I'll run and get the DVD so I can watch the extended versions without commercials.
