Thank you all for the nice birthday wishes! Also, it's nice to know that you all don't mind talking about farts. hehe. I haven't figured out yet how exactly I'm going to deal with that one, but I am considering everyone's opinions.
On Sunday, we celebrated my birthday by going to see The Lion King musical at The Kennedy Center (in DC). It was AMAZING!!! Absolutely incredible! The costumes were fantastic, the acting and singing superb, and the story itself was wonderful. I've seen a lot of musicals in my 32 years, a lot of plays, opera and ballet as well, but this was special. It was a PRODUCTION! I highly recommend it.
I got to enjoy it with Londo, my sister and my 13-year-old niece. The Pumpkin is still too young, although I can't wait until she is old enough to go to the theater with us!
As a belated birthday present, the Pumpkin slept through the night last night, leaving me with enough time to even Do My Hair this morning! I was in such a good mood (much better than yesterday morning's frustrating rush) that I made us pancakes, which is what I had wanted to do on my birthday and didn't have time for. So I'm having a lovely day. Maybe the day after my birthday will be my favorite day of the year...

When you get as old as me, any day within a week either way of my birthday can be the day to celebrate. It's easier to have a good day that way. The show sounds so incredible, I would love to see it. I tried to make pancakes today . . . and then, alas, I discovered that I have YET ANOTHER stupid weevil infestation. So I had to throw it (and tons of other stuff) away!
Happy belated b-day. Your theater trip sounded great. I'm glad Pumpkin gave you a belated present...hopefully she continues with those "presents"!
I had my 30th b-day last Friday. There was so much going on lately with vacations and Goofydaddy going on his trip, I barely even thought about it. I'm definitely planning something fun next year to make up for it. Going to the theater sounds like a good idea!
