Question of the Week - The Best Candy Bar

Last week, I was eating a Butterfingers as my afternoon snack/sugar rush. A coworker walked by and said, "Butterfingers? That's so random."

I responded, "Random? I eat them all the time. Butterfingers are one of the best candy bars!"

This sparked a hotly debated topic, which drew in many other coworkers, about the pros and cons of different candy bars, what makes a candy bar good and where the line between candy and actual candy bars was, as well as the general consensus that English chocolate is better than US chocolate.

So this week's question of the week is one I asked many coworkers last week:

In your opinion, which is the best candy bar?

No question in my mind: Caramello is the best. Candy bar. Ever. I also really love Butterfingers, Skors bars and Heath Bars. I really enjoy Kit Kats, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Twix and Hershey's Chocolate with Almonds. Oh, and Symphony chocolate bars.

So tell me, which candy bar do you buy at the checkout line when you need a little something sweet? Which one do you swipe from your kids' Halloween loot? Which is, in your opinion, the best candy bar ever?

Reese's FTW: pieces, Sticks, Peanut Butter cups, Fast Break, Crispy Crunchy Bar, and my favorite: NutRageous. I scour the stores every Halloween for the Reese's mix pack which isn't as popular as most other mix packs.

My favorite candy in the world is Mozartkugeln, and my favorite candy bar is called a Piano bar (it's a bar version of Mozartkugeln).

I'm easy. Anything with sugar in it.

I like Reese's peanut butter cups, but not the big ones that are usually in the checkout lane. I will usually buy a Heath bar for a quick fix, but my all-time favorite is Toblerone.

I usually go for a Twix bar.

But yeah, I'm like Paola. I'll eat almost any candy bar.

Uh, you appear to love chocolate as much as I. My first thought was a Heath bar, but I will take all your other choices, thank you very much!

loove Reese's pb cups and Snickers are ok when I'm desperate.

But THE best chocolate bar ever (and I hope Paola can vouch for me) is Italy's gianduia torrone.

It is gigantic, filled with whole hazelnuts and is made with the creamiest, dreamiest nutella-like chocolate. It's so good that just one chunk takes care of your fix for hours.

Snickers. Really satisfies.

Reeses Peanut Butter cups are my all time favorite but I will grab a Hershey's Bar or a Butterfinger every now and again. I like to divert occasionally. :]

I have been trying to pick just one, but I can't. I can say that I drool over any candy bar that is dark chocolate with a thick caramel. I will always pick a bar with caramel - Twix, Rolos, Ritter, etc.

The best chocolate gift I recently received came from a "friend" on Facebook. She was a former colleague and I was her 1000th friend, so she sent me a good-sized box of chocolates. The best part? She is doing her PhD in Australia, so all the chocolate was English Cadbury and other fabulous treats. It was heaven in a box.

Mmmmmmm. If it didn't kill me, I'm sure I'd agree ( anaphylaxis to nuts!)

Twix, then Snickers with Almonds, then frozen Reece's cups but I only eat the chocolate around the edge. My mom was a candy bar fanatic. There was always a variety of candy bars in the freezer.

I'd have to say my favorite candy bar is a Hershey's with Almonds, but I wouldn't turn down a twix or snickers. I also really like the Whatchamacallit candy bar, but haven't had one in years!

Scor? Skor? bar.. thin toffee crunch surrounded by chocolate.

it's not everywhere though, so in any given situation the choice will usually default to twix or kitkat.

English Cadbury's Fruit'n' Nut. It has fruit in it, so it can't be all bad, right?
